Juuuuuunnnnneeeeee. That was me in my super shrilly, whining voice because I'm upset June came and went so fast. I feel like I had more things to do, man. Let's hope we slow down in July and savor it a bit, because soon we'll be talking about that C word (CHRISTMAS) Ew. I feel dirty for bringing that up so soon.
Any who - onto MY MONTH! Here's a little of life in June.
We skipped town for a weekend and scooted up to Portland!
There was a lot of beer, bikes, bites, and more beer. I dedicated a post of all the things we did and you can read it here. Portland, I'll be back for more!
And so I came out of the closet this month with my training. I just couldn't stop after the last one, so I am at it again!! This time in Santa Cruz and with a huge Team - Vanessa's Victory Team!! A group of us want to raise $100,000!! It is going to be killer.
The pic above was a scavenger hunt training run around San Francisco. I tracked about 8.5 miles in running back and forth through town snapping crazy photos. It was a blast!
It has been HOT. And summer calls for ice pops, so I blended some watermelon for you and froze it - recipe coming at ya soon!
When its hot, EVERYTHING goes on the grill. One night, C ordered pizza and I wasn't feeling it, so I came up with this number. Grilled snap peas, zuchinni, with brown rice, spinach, and shrimp. The shrimp is the trader joe's pre cooked ones I talked about here and here. I just did a quick thaw and heated them up on the grill. Yum!
Taking my breakfast outside this month has been lovely.
Back in the pool at 5:30am. It was a balmy 60 degrees outside - I'll need to remember that come the winter.
Took out my old mountain bike this weekend.
This is a shot I took right before I went down that path...to flip over my handle bars. Yeah - that happened. Ouch...!!!
C made me get checked out in the ER - no broken bones. Just lots of bruises, scrapes, and a sore ego. I guess I'm not super woman? Damn it.
Monday I felt like a dump truck hit me, so I stayed home and binged on Grey's Anatomy with lots of ice, motrin, and my pjs.
My lazy girl. She's like 100 years old now.
Ok, here we go July - we've got plans, let's move!
